It all began with signing on the dotted line on February 12, 2010, and life is still rushing in the fast lane.<br />Actual retirement date was May 31, 2010. Spent the next few days in Paula Morrow's pool while everyone else finished out the school year. Summer was awesome with rafting rivers, splashing in the pool, a few day trips, etc. <br /> In August, my wonderful brother and his wife invited me to go with them to Edisto Beach for a week, as a retirement gift. Wow, we had an awesome time! We toured the island, at lots of shrimp and seafood, swam in the pool, went shopping, and played in the Atlantic. For a culminating activity, spent a day in Charleston, visiting Morganton Plantation, shopping in the market and having an awesome lunch in the water!<br /> In September I joined Linda, Melanie, Paula and Sarah for an awesome trip to Orlando, FL. We went to: Harry Potter World at Universal Studios, Disney World ( Animal Kingdom and Epcot ), Blizzard Beach, ate supper at the wonderful Columbia Restaurant (complete with out of this world Sangria) in Celebration FL. We went to Downtown Disney and did a little shopping and had a delicious meal at Ragland Road, an Irish Pub.<br /> September was also a little tough. Robbie's son Justin, had cancer and he had surgery in Winston-Salem, NC. He remained in the hospital until January, and is now doing well. So, I took a couple of trips with Deborah to Winston-Salem to visit them. <br /> The rest of the fall was spent taking some day trips, having suppers and lunches with friends, and in general having an awesome time.<br /> <br /> Retirement is better than I could ever have imagined!
